The Construction (Design & Management) Regs 2015 came into force on 6th April. There have been some significant changes to some duty holders and roles, but it is important to note that CDM still applies to all construction work, regardless of size or duration.

With a renewed focus on health and safety in construction, it is now more important than ever to have expert help and advice, specific to your work. Recent changes in health and safety law, particularly the Construction (Design & Management) Regs 2015, has seen an increasing importance to practice good health and safety on all sites. With the role of CDM-C gone, and the change in duties placed on contractors, designers and clients, companies and individuals now have an added extra to respond to health and safety.

As the CDM Co-ordinator no longer exists on new projects after 6th April, most of their duties have now been passed to a Principal Designer from the project concept. Although these duties cannot be passed on, Wenlock Health & Safety Ltd can assist Designers with fulfilling the requirements, add the Health & Safety specialism to the project, and add value from a previous CDM Co-ordinator’s perspective.
