Life Threatening Bleeding Control Course
  

We are able to offer 3 hour Life Threatening Bleeding Control Courses at our offices in Telford, Shropshire. The training is fully certified (from NUCO) and accredited through NUCO Training, and, unlike a lot of companies, we are able to offer you this in your own premises as well as at our head office.

Each person comes away with all essential information in order to act quickly when someone experiences a life threatening bleed, which is ideal for industries such as manufacturing, construction and tree surgery. There is a minimum of 6 delegates per session and a maximum of 12, however if you have less than 6, please speak to us for a quote.

Each place is just £75 + VAT. Please note that a small charge of travel time and mileage applies if training is to be undertaken at your premises, please contact us for details.

A range of subjects are covered including:

  • Equipment 
  • Guidelines and changes
  • Life-threatening external bleeding, control measures and equipment
  • Recognising a life-threatening external bleed
  • Improvised tourniquets
  • Wound packing techniques
  • Manufactured tourniquets
  • Haemostatic dressings
  • Casualty aftercare
  • Dangers of the incorrect use of tourniquets and haemostatic products

Delegates must have an in-date Emergency First Aid at Work certificate (which will be requested when booking). This certificate has a recommended refresher of three years. 

Please note that this course involves images and scenarios which may not be suitable for squeamish delegates, and attendees must be able and willing to deal with real life scenarios of this nature.

We are also able to offer a ‘bolt-on’ to the one day Emergency First Aid at Work course of one hour to cover areas of this course useful to your industry, which can be certified by Wenlock H&S to show the additional one hour of learning. This will be charged at £20 + VAT per person – please confirm when booking the Emergency First Aid at Work Course and we will accommodate.
